MMmm wonder if its worth giving british gas a call as i paid my arrears in full so I may be able to get a rebate?
Wonder if anyone else on here has had similar over estimates for this quarter

We were in credit with BG for about £6 in the heaviest quarter up to March and when we got the bill they wanted to put up the DD from £30 to £52 month. I phoned and told them they couldn't without my agreement (that's how DD works). I was in credit too. The girl was right stroppy and said I had a contract with them(been with them over 40 yrs!!) so I said send me the contract as they were going against the banking regulations. Of course they didn't send it.
I said don't dare put my DD up..
Phoned the next day and spoke to a different person and she said you don't need the DD put up! I said I know as we're in credit and prices were supposed to be coming down.
So next thing I got a letter saying DD not to change. Good job too!
That would have been an extra £240 a year in their pocket.
If you're in credit or pay enough DD to cover the usage there's no need for amount to go up.

All agents are under strict instructions to not lower dd's by more than 10%.
