Uhm...I'm not sure I quite understand your post Archy...are you suggesting the internet should have 'discretion' to override the normally accepted rules?
See you on skynet!
As to the guy who said about HSBC being behind the times in terms of Apps etc - Too right! Here's to hoping that'll change soon.Archi_Bald wrote: »Crikey. The very best if luck to HSBC if this kind of approach is company strategy / policy.
For the love of God stop suggesting what I post is representative of a companies policy, that's why I no longer state who my employer is (because jackasses start making assumptions and it harms the company the original poster works for, leading to the company setting out 'no social networking' rules - thereby discouraging open and honest communication that could be had from people woh may actually be somewhat on your side).
Hope you're happy pal, it's people like you that hold back progress
Edit: I'd also add that what I said was not respective of a particular company, it relates to pretty much every single business in every single sector of industry, if you can't see that I'll be happy to find you some relevant reading.0 -

Then I shall take a risk and refer you to Wikipedia. If you have the patience to read and digest the information there (I've only skim-read it, but I have some experience in cost/benefit analysis and think it's reasonably accurate) then it should make the point I'm trying to get across.

Completely agree, employees of a company are allowed to have their own view, which may or may not always be in line with their company's official policy. I would suggest lots of people on this forum work for a financial institution, but are here nevertheless to offer help and advice to others from their own experiences.
It does really annoy me when simply because somebody is known to work for a bank that their posts are always taken by some in a negative light.
On topic, shop around if this is important to you, some providers do allow you to do this online, Nationwide for one.0
