3 letters in 3 weeks from contravention???? Excessive even for Parking Eye.

You need to look on other Parking Eye threads first of all and then give some timeline of these communications to see if you are still within POPLA territory.

If the first letter really was only 3 weeks ago, then you have a few days left to appeal, which you should do. It'll be rejected, but will get you onto the POPLA track, where you can win with the right arguments and the right assistance.

DO NOT admit to who was driving in any appeal. Simply say "the driver" or "the registered keeper"

Just ignore them - it has still to go up to £120, then dropped as a discount kicks in to temp the unwary. POPLA is a diversion you really shouldn't be suckered into wasting your time with, unless you knew the terms of parking and chose to ignore them?

That's the only time you pay. If you were innocent then got a picture in the post - just ride out the storm of junk mail. They do give up to concentrate on the weaker-willed.

With Parking Eye, do a soft-appeal to get a POPLA code, then copy and paste the magical words and appeal to POPLA.

Parking Eye ends up coughing up £28 plus losing at POPLA after failing to provide the contract, and you won't have them badgering you again.

Parking Eye are taking people to court, so beware of just ignoring it

More idiocy from Buzby. Presumably the OP can turn to you when they get court papers from ParkingEye as many hundreds possibly thousands of people have in the last few weeks?

Ignoring ParkingEye's invoice will result in a stream of threatening letters from the PE, debt collection agencies & solicitors. It also leaves the very real threat of court action hanging over the victim for six years & if they move during that time could end up with a default judgement & CCJ. Alternatively with a couple of letters and a successful appeal to POPLA this nonsense will quashed before it even starts properly. That's why the responsible posters on MSE don't give advice to ignore. Even if the victim is clued up enough to fight a court case it is an awful lot less stressful to have POPLA kill it & not have to worry about it.

Frankly telling people to ignore these PPC claims is just stupid & irresponsible advice when it's so straightforward to bring the whole affair to a swift conclusion with a couple of letters. Even if it's a numbers game & your chances of getting taken to court are 1 in 100 it still doesn't give much comfort if you turn out to be that 1 even if you go on to win.

Buzby - can't understand your advice here. As I have said before, you know your stuff on the mobile phones board, but I have to say that you seem to be off beam here.

The fact is that Parking Eye are doing court. They have issued hundreds of court papers - as they threatened at the beginning of the year. Check here and pepipoo.

You can't ignore them or you get a default judgement and no sensible person wants the lottery and stress of court if they can avoid it.

I believe you are a MSE member who tries to help people - seen it on mobile board - so why is it, in the face of evidence of PE issuing court papers and also with the undoubted success aided motorists are winning at POPLA, that you are advising the pre-POFA advice of ignoring?

Your timeline given makes no sense, do you mean 3 months?! Are you saying the first letter was definitely received less than 28 days ago?

Was the incident more than 14 days before you got that first letter, or not?

If you are still within 28 days of the first letter, then see here:

    Hi thanks

Stupidly posted yesterday before checking letters that i dumped in drawer to ignore.
I am actually now 28 days past contravention !!!!
I stupidly chose to ignore so i guess i am past the point of a initial appeal to parking eye.
My own fault do i pay fine or stick it out and hope i do not receive court proceedings ??
