Orange 450 1st time said free credit if I supply IMEI + SIM Code
I recently got a new phone and had to get with it a new Orange SIM too
When I first rang 450 to set it up the automated message said that if I supplied my SIM code & IMEI number they would give me free credit. So I disconnected, noted down the codes but when I rang 450 from then on the message was no longer mentioned.
So I took this up with their Orange Twitter account asking what was going on. Their reply was: "Hi, free credit is not available on Pay As You Go, all SIMS have to be topped up by by the user. I hope this clarifies things for you." I then decided to phone up their call centre and spoke to a guy who said he would put through the request. incidentally he mentioned that the value of the free credit was £10 so they clearly know it is a real offer. 2 days later and the credit has yet to arrive.
I then discovered this website: https://getmycredit.orange.co.uk which reiterates this exact offer. So, I told their Twitter account about this link and this is what they said: Sorry we are unable to open this link. What was it you were trying to send? Thanks.
I have also tried filling in the form myself but I am greeted with a message saying the SIM code is invalid. I've sent images of the site to their Twitter account so I'm just waiting for a reply.
Has anyone had a similar experience? The only reason I'm chasing this up is the automated 450 voice explicitly told me I'm elegible for free credit but it should not be as difficult as it is right now.
