Here's a couple of laptops for NiftyAgain to pick holes in. They're both brand new, not second hand.

Save On Laptops have an Asus for £250 including delivery. The battery life is low at 3 hours though.

Ebuyer also have an Asus, this time for £290 including delivery. According to one reviewer the battery lasts about 6 hours. There's no DVD drive though.
