Good question.
I wonder if you can remove or prevent your sales data being added?
You can't prevent your sales data from being published, as it's in the public domain and anyone can check with the LR if they so wish.
For the OP, I would say that if there are few sales in the road you are looking at, that is a sign it is a good place to live and people seldom move. When a road has a high turnover that could mean there are problems in the street.0 -
Surely it must be because the property has not been sold before since they started releasing details of house prices? e.g. I bought my house in 1999 and we still live there so there are no listed house prices for my particular property. Haven't property prices only been available since 2000? Other houses in my street have had several owners over roughly the same timescale so the prices are listed for them but some neighbours have been here as long as we have and so there are no listed prices for their property.0

or it could just be it's a street full of starter homes0 -
My parents road and surrounding few roads seldom have house up for sale. Most people moved into them thirty or so years ago to start their families and are going to stay till they're in a pine box. It's a great sense of community in a suburban area, more like a village.
If I were OP I would try and speak to some locals, I'm sure there must be an area all the dog walkers go, it might be worth talking to them and get the full SP.

The thing about the sites to me is that it shows the last sale price but has no idea of house condition so for instance my sisters place was near direlect in 2009 sold for just over 400k, today its on the market at 500k improvements are,4 new bathrooms, kitchen, carpets, electrics landscaped gardens etc.How would the people viewing on these sites know why the price has changed so much over 4 years?my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0

it is possible to view old house listings on Rightmove which will often include photos, floorplans etc.0 -

It could also mean the exact opposite. Perhaps people have tried to sell properties there in the past but failed, due to lack of interest and/or difficulty for buyers in finding finance. Consequently people were forced to stay there, or rent the properties out. It could also be because in some areas the houses are still owned by the council/housing associations. Not all council houses look like council houses !0 -

Good points.
But he way to discover if the road is made up of council properties is to check with local council, or find out through google.
If the properties haven't sold due to lack of interest then I believe sites like PropertyBee will have details archived of all properties once marketed.
Even if the road is undesirable it would be unusual to have almost no sales as someone will always buy if the price is right, so I would still expect a road with few sales is a sought after one that is very desirable.
A quick look on Google Maps and ACORN groups would show all these things up, neighbours, council properties etc..0
