Hello lushlifesaver - and many congratulations on your happy news!

As a scrapbooker I can honestly say that the very best buy (12x12) scrapbook that I've ever bought actually came from Ebay, very recently. I not only got a really beautifully made scrapbook album but it came with 10 plastic pockets (to hold up to 20 scrapbook pages if placed back to back) and a matching assorted paper pack consisting of 10, 12" x 12", papers. Both the album & papers were Acid Free. I got all this for just £10.99 and everything was postage free!

It's the type of album which has extendable screw posts, so extra pages may be added if you need more pages to 'tell your story' in photos. Or .. if you're like me and decorate your pages with flowers, gems, ribbons and twiddly bits which need a little extra room.

Hobbycraft are a little more in the pricey area.
The Range however do have a fabulous selection and they're not too bad on price.
TX Maxx or Home Sense (depending on what it's called where you live) do have Scrapbook Albums from time to time and you can pick up a bargain there - but do check out what they're being sold for elsewhere before you make an impulse buy.

Very good luck with your purchase and I hope you find something you love.

Good luck also with the pregnancy and birth!

    Edit to add:
Being a newbie here, the system won't let me post a link to the ebay seller I bought my album, pockets an the matching scrapbook papers from. However, I know she has a baby/little child scrapbook on offer with the same deal - so if you want the link just private message me and I'll see if the system will let me give it to you. ~ x
Remember: however thin you slice something, there are always two sides to everything.
  • Make it yourself :D

The best scrap books I've made were from recycled materials. Old cereal boxes etc? Check out YouTube. There are looooads of tutorials on how to make scrap books for next to nothing.

    Oh, and congratulations :D

You could also try W H Smith, the larger ones tend to have scrapbooks on special.
