Three Contract Ending - first time contract, general advice pls

Hi,

I'm coming to the end of a contract with Three Mobile and not sure what to do/what will happen as not had a contract before.

Will phone line just go dead at contract end/what will happen to line/number?

Not sure what I will do, but definitely not upgrading or needing a new phone, so will either go with Three's £18 monthly SIM only offer or switch provider. What would I need to do for either option pls?

When I last spoke to Three several months ago they were talking about giving notice, but is that only if you want to leave them? And if I switch to the monthly SIM only offer would I then be free to just leave when I want without any need for notice?

Very grateful for any advice please. Thanks in advance.

Your contract doesn't "end", you simply come to the end of our minimum term.

If you do nothing your contract will continue exactly the same as before, and at he same price. Nothing will change.

However from 30 days before the end of the minimum term you can now cancel if you wish, but you must give 30 days notice

If you want to change to sim only call them and let then know. There are generally two types of sim only, 12 month and 30 days. You will get a better deal on the 12 month contract, but as the name suggests, you will be tied in for 12 months. And with a 30 day contract, you can leave at any time, subject to giving them 30 days notice.

If you want to move to another provider you need to ask three for a PAC code (sometimes this will prompt them to offer you a better deal than they originally suggested). If you take a deal w a new provider give the, this code and your old number will be ported to your new contract and your contract with three will be automatically cancelled.

You have 28 (?) days to use your PAC. If you don't use it it will expire and your contract with three won't be affected.

Note you can't hand in your notice AND request your PAC, its one or the other as using the PAC can els the contract anyway.
