That's fine. I can do that.0

Where do you get that from?
Especially if s/he did not appeal and lose the 1st WRAG placement. But as far as I know even this does not stop you from appealing each re-assessment decision as it comes up. Whether re-appealing the same WRAG (having lost before) exempts you from WP would be interesting to know.
Re: the comments about not knowing you were in WRAG:
Knowing you were in WRAG from maybe a year ago and then having another assessment done in May/June and nothing changing does indicate that you are still in the WRAG. A lot of re-assessment decision letters do not get sent out if the claimant remains in the same group.0 -

It just seems a bit odd lodging an appeal whilst I've had no response to the reconsideration if that makes sense.
You would first need confirmation by phone that your appeal is a "valid appeal".
Then tell your JC advisor0 -

That can't be right? How would you know when to appeal? Decisions times can vary. You can't just bank on being in the same group because you haven't heard anything.
Anyway, they said I should have received written confirmation, I didn't.0 -

What I'm saying is, irrespective of the responsibilities of the DWP to notify you of the latest WCA, you did know that you were in WRAG so you could have appealed it a long time ago.
Re the letters not going out, the DWP are supposed to send them, but it seems to me, that a lot of "re-assessment remain in same group letters" don't get sent for whatever reason.0 -
I didn't know I was in the WRAG, that's the whole point.
I knew I was in the WRAG the last time because I got a letter stating so. Because this time I hadn't received a letter I was under the assumption that due to a backlog it hadn't been dealt with yet.
They have to tell you the outcome to give you chance to appeal, saying "sometimes letters don't get sent" isn't good enough.
I won't be commenting further, because it's fruitless. But thanks for any advice given.0 -
You knew in January, so could have appealed then.
If you already did appeal in January or before and lost...
Then there may be something in what The French President said earlier that you may have to show a worsening condition in order to be exempt from WP. There may be no automatic exemption from WP if you have appealed and lost before. Though I have never heard of this. Such a rule, if there is one, would make sense.0 -

You can't make an appeal without knowing the date of the date of the decision you are appealing against, so getting the letter is sort of important.0 -
That information is easily obtained by phone.
As I said, you can appeal after contacting by phone and you have been told the nature of the decision, so you know what you are going to say on your appeal, all you have to ask for is what is the date the decision was made and you will be told over the phone. You put that date into section 4 on your GL24
EDIT: sorry I think it was on a different (recent) thread where I was saying you can appeal after phoning them, you don't have to wait for a letter.
In regards to this thread, he knew in January he was in WRAG he had plenty of time In January to appeal and to get the date of the decision from his original letter or by phone.0 -
