I am toying with the idea of changing my utility supplier after noticing they increased my direct debit 2 months ago without telling me. Eon shame on you! I don't think they are as competitive now they have changed the new tariffs either.

    Morning Judi,

This isn't right at all! :o

You should always be given 10 days notice of a Direct Debit change.

Do you manage your account online? If so, it may tell you about the changes on the first page of your bill, but you need to view the bill to see this.

There is normally a headline in your online account advising that changes have been made, any sign of this?

Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with though :)

No I wasn't given any notification at all. I got letter saying my Saveonline was coming to an end but no notification as to saying my direct debit was being increased. Its a bit shameful really as your company has my home address and email address.

I couldn't understand why I was overdrawn so hubby bailed me out last month and moaned about me overspending. I always check to see if my direct debits go out when they should but I hadnt been checking the correct amounts have been taken.... So come to being overdrawn again this month I decided to look closer. Hubby has had to bail me out again but at least I could show him that it wasn't my fault.

Yes my account is managed online but the only time I go into that account is if I submit meter readings. I have no reason to go into it otherwise.

There is no headline saying changes have been made to my account.

Helena thanks for your offer of help but none is needed thank you.
