Cancelling talk talk contract?
Maximuss
I've been with talk talk for around 6 years and I have about 4 months on my contract remaining. They promised me to my face "you will have a consistent connection" yeah right... I'm supposed to have 8mbs. I get around 3 mbs and my son is pulling his hair out when he is playing xbox. If he is in the middle of a game he'll disconnected within an hour (IF LUCKY!) I am not being given what advertised, will I be able to cancel without paying a fee? (Ps,I've had new routers, wiring, cables etc, if I do manage to leave I'm going to go to vm's 100mps fibre optic.

Technically you can have Virgin Media's broadband now as it's on different line altogether. Also be warned Virgin do traffic manage after a set amount of usage.
I'm afraid you'll have to ride it out if your in a contract. Unless you want to buy it out.
Regarding your son and his xbox, have your tried linking it up to the router? Directly or via power line adapters. Might make it a little better in the short run.0 -
What is advertised is 'up to 8Mbps'. Not 8Mbps. So that's what you are getting with 3Mbps.No free lunch, and no free laptop
