Investing in plant and machinery rather than BTL's would be a start.

OMG yes ! Exactly what I have been saying... Government policy needs to incentivise sustainable growth I.e. build companies and create jobs and economy.... not encourage investment in residential housing that pulls homes away from people by fuelling demand in housing and increasing prices.

Tax, and laws can direct and channel the current available money that is going into buy to let.
    Peace.
  • about migration....

How many people (immigrants) will return to their countries once things pick up in the country they came from.... Italy, Spain, Portugal etc. I know some of these people and they are not happy with the fact they were forced to leave their country and friends and family to stay in work.

And, if we leave the EU or negotiate a new deal, at least we can decide how many, who and when to let people in. Even if that means more migration! Farge is not against migration he just wants to sort this country out on lots of different levels and topics.

When the manifestos are published it will show that UKIP will have some sensible policy ideas, not that I want out of Europe for business reasons. For me easy shipment around Europe is vital to my company doing well.
    Peace.

Seems appropriate in the current furore over migrants.

Seems appropriate in the current furore over migrants.

especially in the context of your firm belief in the lump of productively labour fallacy.
    seriously you are wrong.

What is the infra structure cost of one extra dwelling on the local authority ?
Do you think that the majority of migrants can afford to pay this figure ?

Unfortunately there are a considerable number of the born and bred here who will will never contribute that much especially with artificial intelligence putting them out of a job.

How about a minimum income before taxes of £35k a year per migrant for the first 10 years, with a sliding scale by age for those fresh out of education?

Try going to settle without a considerable earning potential or a large slug of capital in many other countries or even the Channel Islands ! sredaoleerf are not wanted by the population which have built up this country over the last 200 years. We need Land Labour, Capital and Technology. This is not Henry Ford's America, with almost limitless land and a population of dispossessed "Native Americans".

Just check out the population per arable acre and the births per woman statistics and you will realise that the migrants from outside Europe come from countries where the median citizen is under 21 - go figure.
