Just a quick one from me - Happy 18th Birthday to Jools' DS and Happy 21st Birthday to Molly's DD (well done to her too).

Up early this morning when it was lovely and cool, opened all the doors and windows to let the fresh air in and it was fab. Cleaned more than I have done for days as it was cool, house sparkling now. Also made Banana Bread to use up the spotty bananas.

Went to buy new undies and got stuck in holiday traffic on the way back so wasn't in the best mood when I got home!

Sat out under the brolly this afternoon and read for a while, just going to work (2 left till I finish for holidays, yay!).

    Take care. XX

Took youngest dd to her temp weekend job in posh car showroom. It was her first day and she was really nervous.

DH drove us to lidlees on way home and managed to stock up on fruit, veg, milk, cheese, bacon, bread flour, fish etc. DH got three huge packs of loo roll on offer and I got a couple of bunches of flowers as well. Lovely to be able to do a big shop without having to schlepp everything home on foot.

Had a posh early lunch with salad, beetroot salad, fish in creamy sauce and prawns with fancy fresh baked roll. DH very appreciative and everyone enjoyed it. Just had home grown new potatoes, carrots, green beans and courgette and pork chop for evening meal. DD had a good day and is looking forward to going on holiday with friend on Monday and seems much happier.

Maybe the heat is making everyone snappy and out of sorts. I hope things improve for you.

I hope hester is all right and enjoying the good weather and the break from work.

    Hug to all.

I'm sure she knows this Molly but make sure your daughter goes to Student Services/ Support at uni - they will help make sure she has the support for dyslexia. She will also be eligible to apply for DSA and may get software etc to help with her studies. Also, I know we got an email about Text Help's new upgrade with a 30 day trial period - maybe that's just for business though. There are some fab functions on Text Help for all students, not just those with dyslexia. You must be very proud of her:).

Big birthday cakes and :beer:to your DD and to Jools DS for their special birthdays.

I am really proud of her. Thank you for the info. DD was assessed for DSA and got the highest level of support. She has gone from hardly any help (nothing at school:mad: ) to having all sorts of help - financial and academic at uni - which is great and Im very grateful :T
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Its been much cooler today. A welcome relief from the heat we have been having lately. Not that I am complaining or anything. :o
