Something between casual and hardcoreI'm somewhere in the middle, I tried to convince myself I was more than that, traded my Wii and got a PS3 and hardly played it as most of the games I thought I wanted to play required a little more than a casual gamer.
So I persevered and just a month ago traded it in for a WiiU and I love it.
Really I'm a Nintendo girl at heart.0 -
Something between casual and hardcoreGone for something between, now and then i go back to WoW, but its not all the time. Though when i get into it, i do go a bit nuts :P0

I would describe myself as hardcore, but without the time to dedicate to it, how I long for the days when dh and I would play ff7 from morning til night, only stopping to order pizza!
These days I am forced to fit my gaming in around the kids, although dh and I tend to have a game we are playing together in the evenings, at the moment we are playing the last of us, and enjoying it greatly.
I am also currently playing resident evil revelations on my own and loving it.
I have had consoles for as long as I can remeber starting with the spectrum, though I don't think we will be getting the new ps4 as we tend to game mainly on the pc, left for dead2 being my multiplaying game of choice, the pc gaming community is much nicer too.
I find a lot of games these days are far too dumbed down, puzzles are a lot easier and there isn't any consequence to dying, not like the days of chuckie egg, when dying meant doing it all again!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
CasualI would have said years ago that I was somewhere between casual and hardcore, played nearly every day sometimes into the small hours of the morning and slept long in the morning.
Now, after two children getting up at some ungodly hour in the morning and me getting older I need my sleep.
Now I play a couple of times a week...no more 6 hour marathons on the xbox, it is now maybe an hour at the most a few times a week when cbeebies is not on:)0 -
CasualI used to consider myself a 'hardcore' gamer but as I find myself with less and less time, I tend to play once a week but for a fair few hours. It's strange playing a game over the course of weeks rather than the days it would take before but I feel like I get a bit more value for my money now.0

CasualI used to play till 3am, hwever I have always been a casual gamer - its a game to me. I play to enjoy it, I play and follow the rules or behave myself.
I hate it when we get the kiddies that just run & gun & teamkill etc.
Thats why I liked Sniper Elite 2 as it has no cross modes.
Normally, I would never play offline games, only playing multiplayer because of the fun and variance in the game. But now I am happy to play offline because now online people barely talk.0 -
Sadly life interferes far too much to be a hard core gamer these days but I am putting in more game time after buying a new projector a a huge screen makes such a difference to gaming and I jumped out of my skin when an infected from Last of us first jumped up and starting eating my neck  the PJ makes games a tad more erm atmospheric.
One of my Coders has submitted a holiday request form this week stating "can I have the week off when GTA5 launches, not sure when its going to be...... its Rockstar"
