What to do with old sofas?

Selling via facebook is the way forward, just look for a buy and sell site in your area and put it up for sale.
If it's not in sellable condition i agree with the person above who mentioned freecycle, it's great and no doubt would get rid of it quickly.0 -
I left my old sofa round the side of my apartment block (there is an area with bin skips and bike storage etc) with the intention of taking it to the tip at the weekend.
When I went to take it to the tip it had gone! My guess is that someone had seen it as abandoned and thought they would have it for themselves.0 -
I have an old sofa that I can't give away as my cat decided to use it repeatedly as a toilet! The council will come and take it away for £10. I can also include 3 other bulky items so getting them to take away an old broken wardrobe at the same time.0
