I have had this before and I associate it with anxiety as that is when I usually experience it, but I get the hypnotic jerk quite a bit, my mother used to tell me it was the soul leaving the body when you fall asleep!:rotfl:Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0

I don't squeek but I do "snort" and jolt just as I'm dropping to sleep.apparently and I don't know if/how true it is but I like the idea.
It harks back to when we were cave men and cave women and is a built in safety switch when we were asleep in a tree keeping safe from tigers and mammoths and such like so we wouldn't go into a deep sleep and fall from the tree!Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0 -

I talk just as I'm dropping off, I put it down to my body winding down and being in transition from a busy day to sleep.
