Hi I would very much appreciate some advice please. We have had dreadful service from Virgin Media since we had our services installed 19 months ago. After a very lengthy complaint they have finally admitted that they were at fault and they have offered us compensation. We should be getting a fairly large amount, around eleven hundred pounds if they honour what they told us. However they have offered us the compensation as virgin credit. Are we within our rights to ask for the money not credit?
Once we have this complaint sorted we are going to look elsewhere for our internet / TV / phone package and don't want to be tied to Virgin for a moment longer than we need to be. Being offered credit ties us to Virgin Media for another 19 months! :eek:

If you check your VM contracts you won't find any service level agreement so any compensation you get will probably be ex-gratia and I doubt that you'll have much luck getting £1000+ in cash out of them.0
