if I was told they were showing a few couples at a time then yes I can except that or an open viewing day, I haven't got a problem with,

,but I don't see how the EA is working for the seller by rushing the prospective buyers round houses and letting next door neighbours gate crash a viewing,
I think most sellers would be horrified if they knew what EA were getting up to

perhaps I am old fashioned, I do expect to be treated with some respect, after all I am the one who will be spending 1000's of pounds
if an EA can not give a any prospective buyer 30 mins of their time then as a seller I would find this unexceptable

Are they looking to buy a house or did they just want to go in and be mosey? I wonder how the owner would feel about a mosey neighbour walking in lol

    LOL
I would think they were just having a nosey , maybe they are thinking of selling and wanted to compare,
who knows but I still think it was very rude of him and very unprofessional of the EA to allow it

As you say, maybe you are a bit old fashioned, but, I agree I would want to be treated with respect but I do not think that what was done was actually disrespectful, maybe a but rude, maybe the EA was just trying to make up for the fact that he had parked in the guys driveway!

But do you really think it is cause for complaint as suggested by the OP, I don't but we can beg to differ.

no I don't think it a case for complaint , it would be petty to complain , what would be the point, it wouldn't change anything

but I do know how the OP must have felt ,

me being me would have said something to both party's at the time

next time (if a next time) I would ask the EA for a personal viewing
which I would do anyway if I was interested enough to go for a second viewing

I didn't complain, I think I was just really annoyed when I got back. I wouldn't mind viewings with other people it was just the fact he butted in and it was really rude, but then there's a lot of rude people out there.

Well, when they ask for feedback, just say you loved the house and would have happily offered the asking price, but unfortunately you found the neighbour too rude, so are no longer interested.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Probably indeed what the neighbour was doing, that is being nosey.

The estate agent had no way of knowing how these two neighbours got on (or otherwise) and chances are that they didn't get on that well (otherwise the next door neighbour would probably have been shown around in the normal course of events).

There is one thing puzzling me too and that is how the EA would have managed to get in a phonecall to the vendor to give them the name in advance of this "extra viewer". Guessing the answer is that they didn't do so.

It is poor practice for an EA not to ring the vendor in advance and give the name of every viewer wishing to come round and mine certainly always did. After all, for all the EA knows, the vendor might know and distrust the viewer wishing to come round.

Probably EA was too embaraced to say no the neigbour (which is kind of unusually, since the EA's I know are absolutely souless beings). The neighbour was nosey nothing else. You will not have any competition from this neighbour if it goes to buying. Probably the neighbour is looking for how much his house will sell for. If you got a good offer, check with the neighbour if his house will suit your requirement also. He might let you view it privately also.
