sky in 2nd room

Hi
had no problems when I had an old CR tv in 2nd room, just switched to AV and there was the same sky channel as in 1st room (dont need/want remote eye/switching - same channel is not a problem).
Now I have a slim tv/built in free view, etc, and just cannot find the sky picture when the lead from room 1 is plugged in.
All there is, is a 'source' button. Options are TV, scart, side AV, HDMI 1 and 2, YPbPr, and VGA/PC. Opting for any of these does not pick up sky.
????
Are all modern tv's like this, ie no AV option ?

The RF out from a Sky box produces an analogue signal so you'll have to tune it in as an analogue channel on the slim TV.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

As above you need to find out how to tune the analogue tuner.
The source should be set to TV not AV.

The only way the AV would have worked on your old TV would be if the aerial lead was connected via a VHS machine or similar.

"Install and retune" > "Auto channel scan (retune) " set it to Analogue > "retune"

Says it found 1 analogue channel. Analogue Ch68. Lists out all Sky channels - whoopee..... but when 'edit channel list' comes up, all it lists is freeview channels, not sky
