    No, FSCS won't accept it.

You should have been given a list of the things they will accept, and how recent the document needs to be.

Read the email carefully though - they won't allow anything outside of the listed items.
  • yep they gotta list, only thing is the bills they have mentioned wont be in my name I don't get bank statements and they wont accept internet or printed one's and they want original doc's I would send my passport or log book but I kinda need it back

You can get you passport photocpy certified by someone, or your driving licence if it's a photocard one. Ask your doctor or if you know someone else who can do it.

Have you tried ringing them? We had something similar where we had a couple of products with WFS one PPI was in my name the other in my partners name. This was cleared up in a phone call to them they were really very helpful and once the misunderstanding had been cleared up it was approx 3 weeks when we heard they had upheld our complaint. Hope you get sorted.

A passport won't prove an address, and I don't think FSCS would accept a driving licence.

They definitely won't accept copies unless they've been certified by the post office or a solicitor.

OP - ring them up and discuss it with them. You may be able to sort the whole address thing up over the phone.

In conjunction, a photo driving licence and a passport is good enough for any other company...it was for Britannia for me :)
