Hi,
Don’t know if anyone has had this issue but my house is on the market and I’m having some issues with the Google map satellite image thatis linked to my property .The land behind us was a real mess (old buses, carsetc that the bloke who used to live there had horded) he died and his family cleaned the place up but the picture is still of how it looked 5 years ago?? It’s affecting my sale as people have been put off even viewing my property because they have looked on Google maps and seen how the land used to look .I can’t find anyway of contacting Google maps to ask how the picture gets updated?

Get the agent to put a statement in the particulars that the image is out of date. Perhaps get them to put other photos up showing the current picture.
Get a quote for an aerial photograph that could be used to add to the particulars. Some use a remote controlled mini helicopter kind of thing so it isn't that expensive.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
You can also write to Google and tell them to rectify the image. I'm not a lawyer but I would demand they update or remove the image forthwith, failure to do so will lead to you incurring costs which knowing google are so large would be a fantastic story for press, David and Goliath type. Remember google maps already have issues in Europe with privacy etc.

Yeah I'd love to see this go to court. On what basis would you be taking action against them? Completely ridiculous advice. You haven't paid a penny to Google for any service and so they have no obligations to you. Your gripe is with the EA or property website who choose to use the Google service.
Just ask the EA if they can deactivate the link or as suggested add a disclaimer, if not just move on as you have zero chance of getting Google to budge. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

As sad previously, take some photos and add them to your particulars. That way people can see the change. Don't try to hide how it was (as people will find the google images) but highlight the improvements.0
