    Remortgage here.
Gone with Barclays @1.90% Fixed over 5 years

    Applied Thursday 2nd,
    Valuer came around Wednesday 8th
Had our offer from Barclays on Friday 10th

All done and dusted from our perspective. Now just to wait for the completion date.

  • well I didn't think I would be joining this thread at all but here I am. I have been reading this forum for months.

offer has been issued today with tsb.

    timeline
    viewing on 30th March
    offer made 1st April
    accepted on 3 April
    mortgage application submitted April 10th
documents requested a few times in between and to question a £10 difference on my payslips.
I was then told I would have my offer by last week. Didn't hear anything then told it would be ready by 14th. Got the call and text from L and C this afternoon to say its been issued.

Now to deal with the solicitors side of things.

This has been overwhelming so far. I applied as a single applicant, trying to get this house for me and my daughter.

Cheers and good luck to everyone else.

Advised 3-4 weeks and feel like I’ll be on edge forever!

We waited more than the expected week for our final decision and then they came back and queried the fact that our gifted deposit forms add up to more than our deposit amount (we’re using the remainder for fees etc.) Not exactly sure how it can be a problem that we have been given more than the bare minimum but hey ho. Another two days apparently to see if common sense can prevail.

Phew. Common sense has indeed prevailed. Tbh I think they were checking it wasn’t an error or we actually wanted to borrow a different amount.

But either way mortgage offer received! :j Now just to sort out building survey (didn’t want to spend money on this until the mortgage was a definite) and then we shouldn’t be too far off exchange!

    Hello all!

    offer accepted 13/05/19
    application submitted 15/05/19
    valuation booked for 24/05/19

Do you think we will hear from Nationwide in the meantime? The AIP only requested my partners 3 months payslips. Nothing for myself at all and no bank statements for either of us.

    TIA

    Here's our timeline:

    AIP 8th May
    Viewed 11th May
    Offered+Accepted 12th May
    Mortgage Application 14th May
    2nd Viewing 15th May
    Valuation Instructed 16th May
    Independant Surveyor 17th May (tomorrow)

I'm wiggling and jiggling and hoping the instruction of a valuation from the bank is a yes in disguise!!!!!! Weeeeeeee!!!
  • Thanks 2scompany, it's painful isn't it?

We were hard searched and all was fine, it looks like the tricky bit has been proving our income, so make sure you have your SA302s up to date, and you'll be fine, I'm sure.

Good luck! We were meant to know yesterday, then today and as it's hurtling towards 5pm, it's looking unlikely it'll be today. I'm slowly losing the will to live...
How are you guys getting on?
