Let's see. I think realistically Monday's going to be the earliest i hear something.
  • Nail biting moment here!

We accepted an offer on our house in May - sale fell through in July. On the same day we fell in love with a house (we!!!8217;ve moved and are renting in another area so weren!!!8217;t rushing to find anything). The house we loved accepted another offer the same day.

Fast forward 2 weeks and we accepted another offer on our property 31/07, found out the house we loved is still available (person offering hadn!!!8217;t sold theirs).

Mortgage application went in quite quickly, a query yesterday over a standing order on our bank statement. £300/m to the in laws - not an obligation but more a !!!8220;thank you!!!8221; for the deposit they gave us to buy our first home. Hopefully that explanation holds water with the mortgage company (accord).

Found out today our buyer won!!!8217;t be able to get the valuation until week commencing 10th September because of a back log!!! So hopefully that won!!!8217;t delay things too much.

    UPDATE

3rd August - Called First Direct and told valuation has been amended to the sale price! Application now goes to underwriters to confirm ID and hopefully give the green light.. nervous!!

10th August - Called up to ask if there was any progress, was told they needed 2 more payslips to confirm my weekend enhancements were regular, uploaded these the same day.

15th August - Called up against to check if anything had happened, was told out mortgage has been approved my underwriters :j:j wooooooooo

Now we are apparently waiting for the mortgage accounts team to call us up and set up the smaller details whatever that means, seems I have to ring First Direct a lot to push updates but hey ho, getting there! We are still awaiting the report from our solicitor which is on holiday next week so this looks like it is being delayed and we are getting pressure from the estate agent!

    Good luck everyone

Who is your lender? If Natwest or Santander pretty standard for them to do that so don't read anything to it

Barclays. And apparently I need some extra characters to make the post long enough.

Full application with Halifax started last Saturday and valuation booked for Tues, only submitted pay slips so far and a credit check has been carried out.
Am hopeful so far but a bad experience last year is making this a nail biting experience!!! I'm literally reading into everything at the mo!
Any one else with Halifax at the mo?
