Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

So here’s my timeline
22.1.18
Offer accepted at 248k
23.1.18
Dip with mortgage broker
Solicitor instructed
24.1.18
Full application in with nationwide
So it’s been 2 days. My mortgage broker says I won’t get texts so I guess the only updates I will get are the ones I provided.
The waiting game begins. Really nervous now about the whole process. Wonder what documents they will ask for as the only ones I have sent are my SA302 and ID. Mortgage broker hasn’t asked for any bank statements. Is this normal? Or will the bank ask for these does anyone know?
Also mortgage broker said that nationwide are likely to ask for an ‘accountants certificate’ whatever this is.0 -
Hi Fisa, We have gone with Nationwide aswell
Mortgage application 22.1.18
Survey booked 23.1.18
Surveyor Attended 24.1.18
Apparently they have all documents they need and according to online we have a reintstatement value so not sure where that has come from or whether that is a good or bad sign.
Now it is just a waiting process, however if paperwork wasn't in order why waste money sending the surveyor?0 -
Wow that is a mega quick turn around. You got survey offered one day and carried out the next?
I did call the EA today not heard anything about a survey. I guess it will be next week but am pretty sure they will ask for bank statements off me which I don’t mind as I have them ready.
Fingers x for you x0 -

According to online? Do you have online tracking ? Did you go via broker or direct? And I’ve no idea what a reinstatement value is tbh0 -
Hi Fisa, I just went direct with Nationwide spoke to them Monday evening for 2 hours and then the next day at 9:30am they rung to book in surveyor, he came out Wednesday and now my case says reinstatement value XXX - which is more than the value of the property so I don't know whether that is good or bad. I am not sure what we are waiting for now - They have all documents needed apparently and the valuation they received 25th so I was hoping to hear something yesterday but that is just me being impatient I guess.0

Yes I have online through my online banking so I can see what is happening on there.0

Brilliant news. Fingers x for you it’s what you want ! X0 -
Yay! We had a copy of the valuation today which was fine, spoke to mortgage advisor who said underwriters have come back to say they are happy 😊
Just have to send letter confirming gifted deposit and we should have our offer!0 -
On a Saturday crystal that is good. I don't think Nationwide work on a Saturday - damn weekends, the wait is agonising!0
