Finally got our mortgage offer :j. So pleased, definitely feel like a weight has been lifted now. Hopefully our completion date of 26th of this month is now possible.
Here is our timeline
30/04 - reserved our plot
05/05 - HTB Application sent off
07/05 - Authority to proceed received
15/05 - Mortgage application completed
18/05 - application received by nationwide
29/05 - valuation booked - turns out was actually done for the previous buyers that had pulled out, so was invalid.
08/06 - valuation re-done
09/06 - valuation satisfactory and final checks complete
09/06 - application pulled for random audit prior to mortgage offer being issued
12/06 - mortgage offer issued0 -
Hi, I made an application for a mortgage and this is our story so far:
08/06/2015 - AIP obtained
08/06/2015 - Full Application made
10/06/2015 - been with underwriters since yesterday no further update.
It is very urgent for us to have the valuation done in order to get the property off the market.
There is no further update from the Broker.
I rung Santander directly to get an update, but they would not provide me with an update. They said the only way is to go back to broker. Not happy.
Their service level is Application to Valuation 4.6 days. So they are inside their service levels but a more thorough update would be more helpful than just "with underwriters".
Stress:mad:
I have an update today - Application accepted and complete, Valuation Instructed. Chuffed to bits. On to the next hurdle!0 -

It's such a nerve racking time, I've been reading these forums for over a week now since I applied for my FTB full mortgage with Halifax.
Halifax requested ID, 3 wage slips and a utility bill, I took these into branch on Saturday to be faxed, as soon as I got home a processor called to say he also required 3 months bank statements, so back into town I went. Why would they ask for additional info so soon?
Valuation booked for Wednesday, I'm so nervous! They also said they didnt need to hard credit search me, I have a late payment from September from O2 which I'm worried will go against me, although it's settled.
Good luck everyone 0 -
My limited timeline so far:

Hoping it might all be sorted within 2 weeks so I could give notice to landlord & move in late JulyMortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)0 -

How did you find out it had been accepted? Did your broker ring? In exact same position as you and our application went in on 8th too with Santander but was nearly 5pm so could have been 9th by time hit the que so hoping will hear today then0 -
Waiting on the let to buy offer to be made from TMW. Was due to receive on Friday but our broker was on holiday so have emailed her asking if she has had a response. In case the offer is lower than we hope, we have the appeals form all ready to be submitted (fail to prepare and prepare to fail and all that!
).
As soon as this is through then we can submit the residential mortgage application to Woolwich which involves porting over the existing mortgage on the house we will be letting out and applying for another one. Plan is then to let the fixed rates expire in a couple of years and then combine into one mortgage with the same rate.
I am a 'doer' and am not coping very well with the fact it's all out of our hands at the moment!0 -
Waiting for my mortgage decision from HSBC (had the formal application last monday). They said at the time I should have an answer by 15th, so I guess I'll be waiting by the phone all day0

Just had the offer through from TMW and it's based on the lower end of the expected rental income, as we had suspected. Never mind, appeal will be submitted later today based on other comparable properties in the area so fingers crossed we should get this. Otherwise we are £50k down on our deposit. This means we can still achieve the residential mortgage just with a lower deposit than we had hoped.0
