Phone contract mistake?
My mother took out a phone contract in her name for me almost 2 years ago, now I've just noticed (when checking details about renewing and cancelling) that the person who typed in her details got her D.O.B wrong, now surely this should have been noticed during credit checks etc (since it was direct debit) but it wasn't. It's too late to cancel (past the last 30 days of contract) and I don't know what to do, I've heard of some bad instances where people have been charged a lot more due to mistakes like this... and the money has been coming out of her account which is why we never looked to see if there was any mistakes.
Anyone had this problem before?
I'm on a 3 monthly contract.

What is the problem here? Why does it matter if the DOB is wrong?0

Isn't it classed as a type of fraud if your details are incorrect? maybe I'm worrying unnecessarily but I can't find much information on the subject online for this kind of situation.0

No, it's just a typo, I bet. All your mum needs to do is to send them some id with correct dob on and they should amend it.0
