Google Nexus 4 Insurance Claim
Hi all
After an accident in the garden rendered my mobile smashed to bits & unusable I contact my insurer Protect Your Bubble to submit a claim, they have insisted I provide proof of purchase showing the IMEI number etc.
I contacted Google Play to ask for a copy of this as all I had was an online receipt which doesn't have the required info, they have got back to me saying they will not provide anything other than the standard online order confirmation.
Anyone any ideas where I can go from here? Its a fairly standard requirement for insurers to ask for this so I can prove this was the phone I purchased so I'm surprised Google won't help me.
Thanks

I don't remember ever receiving any paperwork showing the IMEI number. Surely Bubble are pulling the fast one - hardly a surprise for this disgraceful company.
If they wanted, they should have requested the IMEI when you were buying the policy.0 -
Unfortunately Googles CS is US based and I don't think their insurance perhaps works the same as ours?
Whilst being very 'cheery' and quick to 'repeat what you say.. to make sure they have it correct' they're not so great on acting on it.
Speak to PYB again and say you're unable to get this but you can supply the documents from google, it may even be worth asking google to just email you saying they're unable to supply the proof you requested and forwarding that to PYB. At least it shows you've done everything you possibly can.0 -
Likewise never had paper work with IMEI .
It might be on the box though .
