Been asked several times for copies of the license now. A lot of insurance companies don't need you to send a proof of no claims though, they just get it direct from the last insurer.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0

Two possibilities: One of the quote questions would have been how long you have owned the car as is is factored into the risk rating. This is checked against the DVLA database, which might not have your change of ownership recorded, so they need to see the V5.
Or, trying to minimise phantom claims by making sure it is actually a real car.0 -
I must say i've never sent my licence or my v5 to them. I just got my v5 from dvla, 4 weeks pretty much on the nose.
Definitely get it sorted before the 14 days.
Admiral asked me for proof of no claims, and then a reminder email. But that all ive ever been asked for
What i did find strange is my licence for change of address only took 1 week, but the v5 took 4, think dvla would average it out...0
