Vodafone Error - Opinions Please

Hi Everyone,

I'd like a little advice / would like to know your thoughts on this situation. Sorry it's quite long.....

I took out a 24m contract over the phone on the 31st of July 2011 with Vodafone. I have only needed to call customer services on the odd occasion since but no one has ever mentioned that I had another line until my call on Tuesday.

I was informed I have a 30 day rolling contract sim at £10 per month and that it was activated on the same day I entered into my 24 month Iphone contract. I have NEVER agreed to such a contract or even received a sim card.
I have had constant issues trying to login in to my account online and therefore never even seen a bill but that is still not really the point here as I was sold a contract that I have never asked for or agreed too.

When I discussed this with billing yesterday after a long wait I was offered a £30 credit on this line

I obviously point blank refused this, a long wait later & I was offered £60 and that was the final decision. I have explained that I will not accept this & complain to Ofcom as this is absolutely ridiculous that not only am I not being offered a full refund let alone an apology for this whole situation. Her team leader is calling me back (although the 24-48hr time she gave has now passed)

I'm also without a phone as I was possibly going to upgrade.

It's now been 48hours & no-one has called me back. I even called today but their system is down ;(

What do you guys think about it?
x

    Hi planetdannii,

I'm sorry to see that you weren't called back as promised.

If you'd like me to get this looked into could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?

All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?

Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?

    Kind regards,

    Lee

  • Good luck with that one Dannii. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but in my experience it will take them a very long time to get anything sorted for you. I would never use Vodaphone again because their customer service is so bad.

Hope you get it sorted Dannii!
We had nothing but problems with Vodafone in the past so it's a network that is avoided over here too. Let us know how you get on :)

Thanx Ryan, had a call yesterday but it wasn't even from customer relations, offering me £60.
I can't quite get me head around how they think this is fair, they have had £240 off me for a service I never even asked for & they expect that a 25% refund is enough,it's a joke.

Still waiting to here from complaints, i'll take it as far as I can if I have to.

I'll let you know thanx x

Quick question should have posted earlier.

My colleague (lives in Northern Ireland) has your bolton 'IrelandGo' that gives her the ability to phone all parts of Ireland and the UK irrespective of what part of the Irish Republic as if she were still in the UK. Right? I understand the bolton is £10 for 30 days.

I'll be in the Republic for the next 8 to 10 days can you tell me what happens if 'I PHONE MY COLLEAGUE' will I be charged a roaming charge.

Same question the other way around. IF MY COLLEAGUE PHONES ME will I be charged a roaming charge for the cross border call?

I won't be at a Vodafone store before setting off and I understand you can't buy this bolt on over the phone.

Appreciate your comment and any suggestions

    Hi Kevin,

Neither of you will incur any additional charges when calling each other in the ROI as long as you don't exceed your inclusive minutes.

In terms of adding Ireland Plus I'm afraid that this can only be done via a Vodafone store in Northern Ireland.

    Kind regards,

    Lee
