  • Sofa_Sogood,
you can port your number from sim provider to sim provider using a PAC code which you request from them. So, no, you are not tied to Virgin forever.
...and then the window licker said to me...

Thanks. But I'd better say I can't even get the spellchecker off the bloody thing, so texts are out at the moment :o

Porting and Pacs? I honestly haven't a clue what it means, but thanks for the reply :D

I think it means I'm not stuck with Virgin then?

A nokia phone is easy to unlock so you could unlock the phone and use your old sim rather than the Virgin sim your phone came with, if this is what you are asking?

You really do need taking in hand :p

I don't know what I mean tbh :o I'm not sure it's locked to any network  lol. All I did was buy it, (didn't register it with Virgin if that helps), stuck the sim card provided in it etc. Does it mean I can use any sim card with it?

And you're right. I do need taking in hand - or gagging :D Nearly 6 months after joining and I've only really just started work on the moneysaving tips. :o

Mobile phones are a real enigma to me lately. I preferred my old brick. I'd better read the manual I think.

    ;)
