Ba flight delay

Options
:mad:I am absolutely furious after months of emails to BA they have now told me that I have no right to claim as the flight delay was not their fault but down to airport restrictions ,so who is to blame for me losing out on a flight and not getting my full holiday in New York ,and also not receiving my baggage for another two days into the 4 day break ,this whole process has been one nightmare after another. How can they say airport restrictions surely this is a get out clause as we will never no what this means in its entirety . My flight from Glasgow was delayed which resulted in losing my connecting flight to new york ,BA are a total waste of time and are extremely unhelpful when dealing with this matter it has took me months only now to be told of AIRPORT RESTRICTION !!!!

What reason were you given on the day
There is a specific thread for BA. You should start with the FAQs but the key point is whether the delay was within the airline's control.

You could check flightstats for details on flights on your day and see whether any others were also delayed which may well confirm that BA were indeed at the mercy of air traffic restrictions etc...what was your date of travel?

You will see, when you read the BA thread that they have been very good (unlike other airlines) at paying out. Do you have other information relating to the delay that can confirm it was within their control

"Airport Restrictions" may well refer to Air Traffic Control restrictions which are outside of the airlines control. If there were ATC delays you would expect to see multiple flights affected around that day/time either at your arrival/departure airport or nearby
