In This Hot Weather A Reminder To Always Kit Up On Your Bike

That's because they aren't regular riders arcon. Those who ride all year will be better riders, value decent kit and run rings round these weekend warriors.
These are people who only come out when it's sunny. (IMHO)What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
To be fair to the bike riders I guess you notice the bad ones more, saw a lot of bikers out today and for the most part they were all properly geared up and riding sensibly but I'll admit the ones that stood out were two bikes, both riding with pillion passengers and all of them in shorts and t-shirts doing some pretty risky overtakes on a single carriageway. I don't know how they can feel comfortable doing that....

Got knocked off my SV1000 last week by a muppet on a roundabout
20 MPH max but a slam dunk onto the tarmac rather than a long drag. Still ate through my leather jacket and shredded my jeans leaving me with irritating and painful (but not badly drastic) road rash.
Copper who turned up was one of those fully qualified police rider/drivers and wished he could have taken my leather with him to show people what can happen if they dont wear the right stuff.
Whatever happens in future, its always gonna be the right gear - my gear is too valuable to risk !!

That is pretty horrific. Not being a rider (been a passenger once for about 5 minutes!) is it easy for what happened to her to happen, being forced off the back like that?
I do always wince when I see the shorts and tshirt wearing riders, though it does seem to be mainly young lads on scooters round our way so probably painful rather than fatal. Not sure about the passenger I saw wearing deck shoes (no socks) on the M3 though!0
