Sim cards for europe

Hi all,

I am currently organising a trip to europe coming up in a few months and would really appreciate your advice.

I will be visiting belgium, luxembourg, germany, switzerland and france. I was wondering whether there are sims with data that I could use in these areas as cheaply as possible.

For france, I will need quite a few sims (there are several of us and we want to be able to get in touch with each other just in case one of us gets lost), these do not have to have data but just pay as you go sim cards for calling and texting only.

So for france I need several normal pay as you go sims and one sim with data.

Alternatively, is there any other way I can use internet abroad on my mobile phone cheaply?

Sorry, I'm not very technology smart so don't know what's out there.. :o

Any suggestions? :)

When using data abroad WiFi is your friend.

Loads of hotels. Bars, restaurants and cafes will have networks that you can use. Oh and all McDonald's.

    Useful advice.

However, that link and https://www.togglemobile.co.uk seem to be down.

thank you for the above information :)

This turns out £15 (includes sim + £10 credit)

    With the rates below:
    Calls 28p/min
    Texts 7p/sms
    Data 67p/mb

It is a feasible option as it would work in all the countries i'm visiting so that is a positive. However the data is a little pricey.

Unless I register numbers for France, Germany and Switzerland in which case it would be:
    calls 9p/min
    texts 9p/sms
    data 15p/mb
which seems a lot more reasonable

I like the flexibility of using this in any country so thank you again for bringing this to my attention :)
