Posted an earlier thread about replacing electric storage heaters. Want to know whether convector heaters are suitable for a rental property and would tenants be satisfied?
Thanks

Any form of electrical heating on a 'normal'(i.e.24/7) tariff is the most expensive way to heat a property.
If there is no option but electricity, then storage heaters on an Economy 7 tariff are the cheapest option to run - especially if you have a Hot Water tank with an immersion heater that you can use on off-peak. However bear in mind that storage heaters are not popular and do have limitations.
If you do decide to have convector heaters, just remember that regardless of the heaters being second hand for a £1, from Aldi/Argos for £10-£30 or costing over £1,000 each - they all produce exactly the same amount of heat for the same running costs.0 -
I expect they would be satisfied until they get the first electricity bill of the winter! If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

I should think you will have a higher tenant turnover - once they work out the real cost of running through winter.
At least go to storage heaters and E7 as already commented on.
If you value your tenants keep them warm for sensible money
