I don't understand why sky say if you cancel can't rejoin until x amount of time?

I just called retention and they said if I cancelled I could rejoin for years after wards if at same address, why and is it true?

Surely they won't say no to any new contract connections?

Yes, it's true. You could rejoin for years.

You can rejoin at anytime (providing your leaving was "amicable") but you will not be counted as a "new customer" for the purpose of deals and offers until 12 months have passed.

But they will plaque you with letters offering you deals to return almost immediately, we have no intention of returning but was tempted by the one letter that offered 75% off for 12 months, standard offering for us seems to be 50% off, still get them every 3-4 weeks

I suspect they said this as a sales pitch to keep you signed up
