Free Toshiba Insurance as compensation???

Here's a good one:
I recently received a letter from Toshiba regarding the end of my warranty for my laptop computer, and offering their insurance "peace of mind" at approx £150 (alot huh?), covering breakdown, theft etc,.
How ridiculous then that my "peace of mind" was shattered by the fact that the front outside face of the envelope they sent the letter in stated in HUGE letters
"HOW TO KEEP YOUR TOSHIBA NOTEBOOK COMPUTER RUNNING LONGER"
Yep - running straight up my drive with the thief who now knows (along with everbody else and their dog,) that I have one in my house at the address on the same page!
Is it me, or is this subversive marketing?!
BTW - I thried ringing their customer service to point out this stupidity, and / or email them, and after 20 mins on hold, I couldn't be bothered, so I thought I'd tell you about it instead!

Hi anniew
I've moved this thread over to the vent board as it's more that type of posting. Unbelievable what some companies will do to get their name out there, but advertising YOUR laptop to the world is irresponsible beyond words!

Are you on about the postman?
BTW, every man and his dog has a laptop these days. I wouldnt worry too much about getting a letter with that written on.
Unless of course you live in some sort of warzone of an area in which case I guess you've got a point!Err, I'll get back to you about the funny signature0 -
i get equally upset when i get envelopes the post with a huge ticketmaster logo on the front (or seetickets, or ticketweb. they're all the same). i try to avoid using these services when i can, but sometimes it's the only way to get tickets. how easy would it be for any of the dozens of people who handled that letter before it went in my letterbox to pocket it?0
