Highview Parking Ltd

Hello All,

A friend of mine had received a fine from HighView Parking Ltd. After reading this post a few weeks back I said to ignore it.

They have now received i think a 3rd or 4th letter which is now from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd not High view Parking Ltd.

Is this all part of the chain of letters you get when you do not pay them?

I have tried looking for the answer before posting and apologies if I have missed the answer on here.

Thank you all very much and thank you for this information

Hi and welcome to MSE :hello:

I've moved your post out of the discussion thread so any replies will be in one place.

The letters are generally standardised and are sent routinely to all their victims.

You can check PPCs' letter chains here: http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=74085

If all the letters you've received aren't listed there please consider submitting them (remove personal info first) as it will help others in future. :)

Should not have ignored it, that's old advice. Should have appealed it and won because there is POPLA for appeals now and we know how to win.

Never mind, they should complain to Tesco, assuming this scam was at Tesco:

...and yes that's the usual letter chain as per the sticky 'PPC letter chains':

Look under any PPC listed as using the DRP and 'Zenith' letter chain rubbish (not shown in full under Highview but shown lots of other places!).

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It still works, just without all the bedwetting and POPLA time wasting.
If you are prepared to fight a spurious claim in court then ignoring is still a statistically proven method of dealing with unsolicited invoices.

A small spurt of spurious claims from one parking company appears to have sent the forum in to bedwetting mode and I must think the parking companies are loving the show.

Unless District judges have been briefed to ignore case law we won't know the outcome of this spurt of cases.
    Be happy...;)

POPLA remains a time-wasting diversionary tactic (even more so for those in Scotland). Highview's letter chain is reliable - you can time to the day when the NCOs going to arrive. (My next one, due next Wednesday, will be 'from' Debt Recovery Plus.).

I just add it to the pile and pay no heed. If they care to go to court I'll the waste a little time and go and repudiate their claim.
  • Its good to see that others have had letters from Debt Recovery Plus from other parking companies. As mentioned this is clearly a chain of automated letters.

So unless something is sent from the courts, I will tell my friend to use it to keep the fire alight!

This is fantastic!! without this website/forum that fine would have been paid.

    Thank you all

spacey, you are soooo boring. How's it going helping write all those defences for people who've received court papers and don't want a default judgement against them?

What's that you say? You're NOT helping them? Well well well, you do surprise me. Mind you, it wouldn't be a good start to have to explain why they ignored the practice direction regarding ADR.
