Advice - missed flight due to traffic

Was the delay down to the security ?
What time of day was that ?
Last time I flew from EMA, the queue was massive (but was there well before the flight) but that was a while ago.
Due to fly from there on Sunday morning about 7am
But then the next flight we got there 3 hours early and got through in about 20 minutes, but I wouldn't chance it again. I will always be leaving plenty of time in the futureThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Yes it was security. The queue was all the way back to the annex where the Ryanair desk is. They almost seemed to revel in holding people up. It took an hour to get through at about 6:30am.

I would do that too, for the early morning flights, from any UK airport. It seems to be the busiest part of any UK airport's check-in day.0 -

It's hard to fathom sometimes
A couple of weeks ago, we arrived at LBA for our 09:15 flight and walked into security at around 07:45
The place was totally empty, not another single passenger
As we walked up, the staff were all stood looking at us, waiting to do some work0 -
To the original OP, if you booked your flight on credit card is it worth contacting them to see if their insurance covers it.
I'm thinking similar to their lost and stolen policies, although this is more a random thought having not tested it myself (and appreciate it wasn't lost or stolen!).0
