I'm sure that this has caused annoyance and perhaps inconvenience but there was an underlying note which really ticked me off. The UK has (sadly) followed the US in the growth of a "compensation culture" in which any real or imagined slight must automatically be followed by a payout - why? Yes, information has been revealed to your ex-wife but as JuicyJesus pointed out, the financial settlement is agreed so your change in circumstances should not affect it. Take the £250 and move on.0
