TMobile contract/cashback/credit check - worth it?

So I phoned T Mobile today and took out a 12 month sim only contract. This involved a credit check which I passed (woohoo! :j).
Hung up the phone and suddenly remembered cashback. Checked TCB - they would have offered £25 for this contract. Fiddlesticks!
There is a 7 day cooling off period with the contract so I technically could cancel and then do it again online, right?
My question is, now that I've been credit checked, if I then cancel and go through a second credit check, would I be more likely to fail this time? Is it worth the risk for the £25? Or should I just see it as a lesson learnt? It's just an £8 a month sim only deal, I'm not getting a fancy phone with it so I don't imagine it would be a major credit check? no?
Advice appreciated.

Apply for the second before cancelling the first. Provided you're within the 7 days on the first you can then cancel that keep thesecond. Of course, you could call T-Mobile and ASK if you'd get a second - but if you use the sim the colling off period may not apply (check their t&c).0

They may well decline you as it smack's of a ploy - complications can also arise, and all for some Cashback that may never appear? I certain wouldn't risk it!0
