It's possible you just have a lot to scan. Ideally you should delete them regularly.
If you can, leave it overnight - you don't need to sit and watch it. I can't imagine it'd take too long to finish though.
I'll take another look tomorrow.0 -
Thank you so much for your help, you are right, I do need to delete lots of files.
I can't leave it overnight and will be at work tomorrow, I'll have to cancel the scan for now but will do another tomorrow evening.
i'll also try another browser and see if the problem persists.
Thanks again for your time.0 -
Post the contents of attach.txt (the other log from DDS) too, but if it proves to be to big to post let me know and I'll give you my email address.0

The computer looks fine from those scans, so I'm inclined to think it was a site problem rather than one with your pc - possibly a rogue banner ad causing the re-direction. What was the other site you mentioned in your OP?
Ebay is sometimes not the safest of sites at the best of times.

One other scan, to be sure (It's relatively quick).
Download AdwCleaner from the link below & save it to your desktop.
LINK- Right click AdwCleaner.exe & choose "Run as Administrator" to run it.
- Click Search.
- A logfile will automatically open after the scan has finished.
- Close the adwCleaner window, click ok to the prompt.
- Post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
- You can also find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[R1].txt.

Thanks again for your patience and help.
I'm on my IPad at the moment as my desktop is shut down, I'm sick of being in front of it tonight,
Funnily enough, although eBay and The Mail on-line keep on being slightly jumpy, there is no ad flashing up.
I'll try your last suggestion tomorrow.0 -

Both sites mentioned still jumpy, they seem to open, close and open again in seconds, on I.E. but not on Firefox.
