it is great that they're coming with you - my dd is 14 and likes it once she's there, but somehow thinks it's not cool till she remembers how nice the tent is...Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Must admit I do find looking for sites stressful. Not that we are loud but I can't see my lot being in bed asleep by 9. :rotfl:
Some reviews I have read have people moaning about other campers talking at 10.30 :eek:0 -
I would be one of those who wants to erect a tent by a lake in the middle of some reclusive forest, somewhere where nobody can hear you scream.

it's a balance isn't it?
We're not night owls, but I did find myself having a bit of a mutter at Seahouses last week ( rukes say quiet at 11pm) when a big family group of about 8 families let their kids run around screaming and shouting and chasing each other around the site at 7 in the bleddy morning - while the parents stood and nattered to each other. It's fair enough if people had been partying at 2 in the morning, I'm all for letting a little light revenge go on, but every pitch was quiet after about 10 at night, just couples talking to each other, no music, most of us were asleep!! I think folks need to keep it down to reasonable levels between 11 and 8 - no screaming in between that thank you very much ( not unless you stand on an upturned plug - then it's allowed:rotfl:)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

And, since you've made your mind up already, get navigation details for Lake of Menteith, it's the only "lake" in Scotland. ( The rest are lochs!:D)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I don't know if I'll be able to persuade him to go north of the border again. He went twice, and ended up with me ...um, you might want to buy some smidge then
