We've said 'Any day BUT Friday'. If I ran a Removals company I'd charge extra for Fridays:j

Another one here in limbo land.

My sale was supposed to exchange on Friday (no chain), found out today that my buyers name is spelt wrong on the mortgage offer so solicitor has to order another one .... its just one thing after another - this has been going on since January

I've just pointed out to our Sol that she's spelled our buyers name wrongly in an email I've just received ;)

We've just heard that the two parties at the 'bottom' have finally signed up and the 20th June is now the proposed completion date, i.e. 2 weeks today rather than next week as we'd hoped, this seemed OK and I gave the go ahead to our Sol. However the removal co say that although they don't have a problem with next week they have just one slot left that day (20th), indeed that's the only one for that entire week! Unfortunately, our Vendors EA refuses to speak to his client so communication will have to be via her Sol. They've proved useless up to now...

well we have finally got a completion date of june 18th!! woohoo

after i told my buyers i had instructed the EA to put house back on market and arrange viewings for today - i texted them as it seems to be their solicitors that are the problem, i got told 'its not nice to receive a threatening text' i said that i was sent home from work with vision loss migraine brought on by stress, my husband was home sick with stress and that we couldn't do it any more

its funny, but when you look from the outside (as no doubt we will also be thinking in 6 months time) you think what on earth is all the fuss about? get a grip people, but at the time - its soooo hard.... anyway - we're moving now - hopefully you all will be too soon x-x-x- to all

Still longer in limbo land for me ...

turns out the Birminham Midshires computer system crashed for two days last week, so when they told my buyers solicitor that the mortgage offer was in the post - that turned out to be somewhat of an exageration

Whats the betting the offer won't turn up until the end of the week (at this point I would put money on it not turning up until next week!)

Come on people, share your frustration and let me know I am not alone here ...

Left limbo land on Friday:j but the frustration and stress will be something I won't forget in a hurry:mad: our solicitor surpassed herself by sending loads of our documentation to the house we sold a few years ago:mad: How she thought we lived there when she is acting for us in the sale of our present house and acted for us when we sold the previous one I do not know:rolleyes:
