I think the above was a joke!

Yes ban adverts and people selling their own site/ products.

I posted a link to my site for two reasons;

1. To demonstrate my logo - someone was asking to buy one and I provided a link so they could see mine. I then provided them with details of my designer (read my pm's)

2. I provided a link to my site as a member asked if anobody knew who could design them a near exact site. Again I provided details of who could and provided an example.

My site is a very local business, and is of no use to anyone on this forum. It's not advertising because my customers are not here and would not even be able to access my services.

I don't know why I bother trying to help people, when I'm treated like this.

Please take a look at what you are doing and look at the full reasons for my post.

Even though your site may be of use to no-one using this forum, the fact is that you were linking to your own site and under the forum rules, that is not allowed, it is called 'self promotion'
It has nothing to do with what the actual site is, just the fact that you were promoting it, even if it was only in a roundabout way.
