Ending Virgin Media Contract Early

Hi everyone

So I took out a 12 month Virgin media contract out back in October. Circumstances have changed and I need to move out of my property back to my parents house, who don't need Virgin.

I want to end my contract early as I don't want to carry on paying for a service I won't be using. Normally I understand a contract is a contract, however I wonder is there a get-out clause? They have not stuck to their side of the contract in so many ways. For example, I signed up to the basic package and they started providing me with, and charging me for, the higher package. When I queried it they said that they would keep charging me but would "refund" £15 back into my account each month, but some months they have not. Every month, there is a different amount leaving my account that I have not agreed to.

Is there a clause anywhere, for example in the Trade descriptions act, that says I can end a contract early if they don't stick to their side of the bargain?

Welcome to the forum. Look at any of the dozens of threads on this topic. The answer does not change. Your contract was at the current address. They did not agree to provide the same service at your new address, or indeed any other address. By moving, it's your choice to terminate the contract early, so the full ETC is payable.
If you have an issue with your billing you should take it up with VM, but it won't void your contract without penalty.
