    Er - yes it is!

You seem to think we dont need plumbers for anything!

When you split a pipe and you flood your house cause you cant find your water stopcock what would you do then?

Handymen are DIYers gone professional - there is no such trade . . ..
I was going to put the name of my plumbing business here so you know what I do should I give out any advice plumbing wise - however apparently I cant do that - go figure!!!!!
New signature - I am a Plumber (I am just not allowed to tell you!)

Er no it isn't if you are capable as a DIYer or are a handyman. Your anti-DIY agenda is showing now more than ever.

    Cheers

  • Just joined the site and found some interesting comments! The original post, of is a quote fair! well can only be decided by the actual time it takes to carry out a professional repair regardless of it being done by a Plumber or a Handyman! The actual job can be straight forward taking about 30 minutes however with seized pan bolts and the use of silly silicone on joints can make the job last upto 2 hours and more however you will find the labour rate of a Handyman cheaper because plumbers demand more money for their services.
I have been a Professional Handyman for almost 40 years and have seen some terrible work by all! So always get a seen quotation of the job if possible and ask for any extra charges that may be incurred! as this could work out double your original quote!
  • Handymen are not all diyer's gone professional! I am a qualified builder with certificates held in Electrical Installations and Plumbing. I am also a qualified Roof installer and carried out extensive training in Health and safety and have a total of 40 years experience! Professional Handymen are actually more than capable of carrying out most jobs other than just plumbing! I agree in some cases some people advertizing themselves as Handymen are idiots! But please don't tar us with the same brush!
