Homebase

Well, I rang homebase again today and they said that as it is a large amount of money they have to do "a full investigation" with the courier. They need to speak to the driver and look at the camera recording from his van. At least I know that it definitely won't show it being delivered to me as I am not lying which is how homebase are making me feel. Hopefully, it will show where he did deliver them. They also asked me if I knew who the person who signed for it was...they have a name and I haven't a clue who it is. At least this person didn't forge my name/signature. I am so fed up though but I should have more info tomorrow.
Just stand your ground (assuming you were at home at the time they 'claim' to have delivered) and reiterate that you were at home, waiting and that neither you nor anyone else at your property took delivery of the tiles and signed for them. It's NOT your responsibility to hypothesise about who 'signed' for 'delivery'.
Keep a record of all the additional costs your are incurring chasing this issue (eg time of ophone call and costs) because you could also claim compensation for these additional expenses.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Well, I guess it is resolved now....me and my husband were woken up at 6.30am this morning by the courier banging on our door! Apparently, they had delivered them to the street behind us by mistake. I had wondered how they would get them back off someone who had in effect stolen them by signing for a delivery that was obviously not for them, but seeing these 2 big delivery blokes, well I certainly wouldn't have wanted to argue with them either!0

TBF not many people won't sign for something, its not stealing but it maybe that another family member or something has ordered it etc
If they were really going to steal them they would have moved them on by now so when they went to collect them 'I know nothing guvner'Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0
