Scrapping car vs selling to highest bidder

Hi there
1999 car is now developing fault after fault and is becoming expensive in time and money (and uncertainty of journey!!).
MOT is looming and really dont want to shell out a load more.
I know there are sites out there (webuyanycar for instance) but is there a (decent) comparison website?
Also what is the likely price for a 206 for scrap?
Thanks as always in advance

Thanks for the reply - I've started to track a couple of similar cars on ebay.
Also called up a local scappy. They are offering £110 a T.
The 206 looks to be around 1.1T - hence a paltry £121 this route.
That makes 'webuyanycar' 'quote' of £225 the leader so far.0 -
What engine, spec, mileage and how much MOT left?0

However, the WBAC quote will drop significantly if and when you actually go with them and the car is inspected, if it's just been done by the internet quoting service.0 -

1.4lx, 118k and MOT for 8 more weeks. Almost FSH from new.
Heck this is turning into an advert!0 -

Am guessing you're speaking from experience?
Not personal experience - I've always sold my cars privately or broken them if unsaleable as a whole, but I know a couple of people who have used WBAC and who have had this happen.0 -
Bung it on ebay with an honest description, start it off at £120 (scrap price) and the most you can lose is the ebay fees.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
