Can anyone help?

I have a rather deep paddling pool. Normally we just fill it a little but my husband forgot the hose pipe was on and went out for an hour so the paddling pool is nearly up to the top. The water is looking murky after two days of use so I thought I would see if there is anything I can do to keep it safe in terms of chemical balance for the children but also when I do eventually empty it for it to be safe for the garden plants.

Many thanks
