denied benefit

would you be entitled to any benefits in your own country, is the job situation better than in the UK? Could you go back there and return in September to start your course? How are you funding your time as a student?0
-
You have been told your legal rights.
In order to claim Jobseeker's Allowance and Housing Benefit you must be "Habitually Resident in the UK". Someone has already posted a link to a detailed explanation of the law on this: in essence, it means that you must be someone who usually lives here; whose life is centred in the UK; who does not have a home, bank account or close links in another country.0 -
Have you read the link provided? It tells you your legal rights.
Since you have been refused benefits then it seems that you have not provided the information needed to prove that you are habitually resident.
The specific part about how you can prove it is here:

As dealer wins says, you posted in April that you were an undergraduate, here's your post from 24/4/2013:hello
I am an undergraduate student in Central London and I wonder if there is a chance I could find accomodation (minimal) with less than 200 pounds per month???
any hint?
thanks!
so why are you now saying this?:I will be student from this September and I applied for the benefit 1.5 months after entering UK, sorry for the confusionyou are wrong
I am not student now, I will be from September.
Now I am unemployed.
I cannot have from now the benefits of a student, ie. student discount at public transport, etc, because I am not a student, then why I shouldn't have the benefit of the unemployed?
I entered the country months before I start the course in order to find a job.
Your threads contradict each other.0 -
things change, I wouldn't advise to read my previous posts in order to asnwer my current post0

Can anyone put you up or help you with money until your course starts in September?
How are you paying for your course?
I have a friend from Greece who lost his job in Greece and came to the UK to find work, he put notices in newsagent windows and through people's doors to say he was looking for work as a handyman (or anything) and stayed on our sofa while he looked for work. Now he has a job on a farm and they have provided him with accommodation. It is very hard coming to a new country (and English isn't his first language) but if you need to find work you have to keep trying.
It's not easy to be given benefits. Maybe you can find a hostel to stay in. Here's a list of soup kitchens / food runs in London:

Maybe you could find some voluntary work that might provide expenses or accommodation.
Good luck.0 -

Things change?
Student in April 2013.
Not a student right now (July 2013).
Will be a student in September 2013.
Is that right?
Are you saying you are not a student at the moment because the academic year has finished?
4 different people have told you why you are not entitled to benefits.
2 posters have given you the same link to information about the habitual residency test.

I have read back through your posts, you ask what benifits you can claim alongside asking what jobs you can get to work two shifts a day and where you can buy a car with no questions asked.
You also ask what disabilities you need to get a Freedom Pass, it really is amazing back reading.
I think you need to take the advice and read the previous posts regarding your entitlements and decide whether you are really a student.
Oh also sorry the food in the Uk is such a let down!0 -
So. When you stepped onto the plane to come here, how were you intending to support yourself til September when your course starts? Surely you must have had a plan in place.0
